In this COMPUTEX Exhibition 2015, what drew most of the attention was an Integrated Circuit supplier from the mainland: CEC Huada Electronic Design Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as HED). HED made its debut at the COMPUTEX exhibition, and brought the huge business opportunities for wearable devices and Internet of Things in this exhibition, introducing two satellite positioning solutions with characteristics of Beidou -HD8020 and HD8030.

HD8020 is a type of dual-channel parallel GNSS chip to support four major satellite systems (GPS/GLONASS/Beidou/GALILEO) across the world, which integrates RF, baseband and power management modules such as DC - DC, LDO and voltage monitoring, so as to greatly reduce the demand of peripheral devices. The chip features low cost, small size, low power consumption and high reliability, etc., suitable for wearable devices. Currently, there are already mainstream modules with standard sizes of 1010, 1108 and 1216 on the market, developed based on this chip.

HD8030 is an integrated single chip solution, and in addition to the positioning function of GNSS, this chip is provided with a built-in TFT LCD controller and enough peripheral application interfaces (USB/UART/SPI/I2C/I2S/PWM/INCP/GPIO), easy to be connected to various sensors and suitable for being applied in such fields as handheld devices and Internet of Things. In order to meet the needs of customers in terms of product diversification and differentiation, HED provides the HD8030-based secondary development platform and the SDK development kit, saving development costs and reducing the product development cycle for customers.

The Beidou chip introduced by HED just wins the Beidou Satellite Navigation Application Progress Award in the sixth China Satellite Navigation Conference (CSNC) held in May this year, which provides customers with a perfect Beidou/GNSS positioning solution with its innovation design.
